Bullying in Our Churches

A brief paper identifying what bullying is, how it occurs in our churches, and ways we can deal with it. (Christine Morrison, 2003)

Violence: Causes and Cures  (available in hard copy from the Social Issues Committee).

Twelve bible studies on the theme of violence in Australian society and ways to confront it, plus an introductory overview of the problem of violence in Australia.

Bible studies proceed by way of 2-3 paragraph introductory comments, discussion questions drawing out the meaning of a biblical text, and reflection questions which open up ways the biblical text may be applied to the current context.

Study topics are:

• culture and violence;
• poverty and violence;
• alienation and violence;
• environment and violence;
• gender and violence;
• character and violence;
• drugs and violence;
• mental illness and violence;
• media influence and violence;
