THE PROPHETS of the Bible called their communities to live justly, mercifully and faithfully. Christians stand in that heritage.

How can you carry out this ministry? The Social Issues Committee can help. Look in this section for opportunities.

Have you considered joining our Social Issues Representatives program? This is one way of making a difference.

As a Social Issues Rep you'll:

§
receive a monthly Social Issues newsletter that keeps you up to date on social issues and that can be inserted into your church newsletter
§
receive quarterly prayer focus sheets that can be used by yourself and your church to pray for your community
§
receive training in promoting social issues, speaking to your local politician, writing letters to the newpapers, etc
§
join with other Social Issues Reps in our "Meet with Macquarie Street" campaign, where Social Issues Reps will all meet with their local politicians during the same week to advocate on the same cause.
